25-year-old sets mark of 57min 20sec Ugandan had previously set record in 2021 Uganda’s Jacob Kiplimo regained the half-marathon world record on Sunday, storming to victory in a stunning time of 57 minutes and 20 seconds in Lisbon. The 25-year-old shaved 10 seconds off the previous world record, set by Ethiopia’s Yomif Kejelcha in Valencia in 2024.
