Former UND great Troy Murray dies at age 63

Mar. 7—GRAND FORKS — Troy Murray, one of UND's best hockey players of all time, has died at age 63. Murray had battled cancer since 2021. Murray won an NCAA national championship at UND in 1982 and won a Stanley Cup with the Colorado Avalanche in 1996. He was inducted into UND's Athletics Hall of Fame in 2003.
